A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slideshare.net\/slideshow\/embed_code\/31818007\">new report<\/a> from Vision Critical and crowd companies takes a look at sharers in the UK, US and Canada, concluding that collaboration is now mainstream.<\/p>\n<p>The report breaks participants in the collaborative economy into 3 segments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cNeo-Sharers\u201d \u2013 those who have in the past year used at least one of several \u201cemergent\u201d sharing services, such as Etsy, Arbnb and Kickstarter;<\/li>\n<li>\u201cRe-Sharers\u201d \u2013 defined as those who \u201cbuy and\/or sell pre-owned goods online using well-established services like eBay and Craigslist,\u201d but who have yet to graduate to neo-sharer status; and<\/li>\n<li>\u201cNon-Sharers\u201d \u2013 those yet to participate, but many of whom intend to in the next year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A closer look at neo-sharers \u2013 the early adopters, so to speak \u2013 reveals that they account for some 16% of the US and Canadian adult populations and 29% of the UK population.
