Whilst 43 per cent of us are concerned with the lack of privacy in a coffee shop, 1 in 3 people have attended a job interview there.<\/li>\n<li>67 per cent of respondents said their place of work supported the idea of working from a \u201ccoffice\u201d, perhaps proving that companies are more forward-thinking than ever before.<\/li>\n<li>The average working session in a coffee shop lasts for 93 minutes. Contrary to <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-749 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blendly.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Coffee-and-Business-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Barista Coffee\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blendly.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Coffee-and-Business-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blendly.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Coffee-and-Business-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blendly.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Coffee-and-Business-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blendly.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Coffee-and-Business-1.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>what might be a common assumption that the self-employed may be more partial to working in a coffee shop, three in four employees in large-sized businesses (250+ employees) often decide to shun the office for the coffee shop, with the approval of their bosses no less.<\/li>\n<li>These bosses may be increasingly aware of the added monetary value that working from a \u201ccoffice\u201d The data shows that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/297863\/leading-coffee-shop-chains-in-the-united-kingdom-uk-store-number\/\">coffee shop<\/a> workers have great success in closing business deals, valued at an average of \u00a31,732 each, representing an estimated \u00a314.53bn contribution to the UK economy.<\/li>\n<li>The \u201ccoffice\u201d, however, does come with its own costs. When considering travel and food\/drink expenses, the average Brit spends over \u00a32,160 a year<a href=\"#_ftn1\">[1]<\/a>working from a coffee shop, 8 per cent of their salary, and this climbs to nearly \u00a32,600 for the self-employed worker. Suddenly the WIFI isn\u2019t so free.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If buying a hot drink is a form of \u201ccoffice\u201d rent, then what is the coff-preneur\u2019s <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-267 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blendly.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Blendly_New_Logo.ai_-300x225.png\" alt=\"Blendly Barista Coffee \" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blendly.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Blendly_New_Logo.ai_-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/blendly.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Blendly_New_Logo.ai_-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/blendly.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Blendly_New_Logo.ai_-1024x768.png 1024w, https:\/\/blendly.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Blendly_New_Logo.ai_.png 1666w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>drink of choice? In a thoroughly UN-British turn of events, only 8 per cent of us choose a cup of tea to power our work. In fact, it is the Italian cappuccino that fires British business (26 per cent), closely followed by a latte (21 per cent).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new research shows the rise of the \u201ccoffice\u201d as a place for Brits to work and cut business deals.<\/p>\n<p>With 13 percent of us working out of a coffee shop every day and the UK coffee shop market experiencing strong growth that is forecast to continue, the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/blendly.co.uk\/#!\/coffee-roasters-uk\">coffice<\/a>\u201d trend is also set to maintain popularity for a while
